Welcome to Bruntcliffe Academy

Since becoming part of The GORSE Academies Trust, Bruntcliffe Academy has gone from strength to strength. The GCSE results of 2016 show a positive Progress 8 score placing the school in the top 40% of schools in the country, this is a significant improvement in our first year of operation. This makes Bruntcliffe Academy one of the most rapidly improving schools locally, regionally and nationally. This has been achieved through ensuring that standards of behaviour are high across all subject areas and around school. The academy has invested heavily in providing high quality CPD opportunities for all staff, ensuring that teaching is at the heart of everything the academy does. Leaders are empowered to work with great autonomy so they can lead their subject areas. In addition to this, all leaders work in close collaboration with colleagues from across The GORSE Academies Trust to ensure that the very best practice is shared.

Under the exceptional leadership of Principal, Anne-Marie Garnett, and Associate Principal, Adam Ryder, the academy will continue to improve at a rapid pace making it an exciting place to study and work.
